Buying options on BuyDomains
Backorders (simple and low-friction)
Place a backorder on the domain you want. If you are the only BuyDomains customer with a backorder on the domain name and BuyDomains successfully acquires it, the domain will generally be awarded to you at the backorder price. However, BuyDomains may open the acquired domain to a public auction - including to bidders who did not place a backorder - as described in our Terms and Conditions.
Auctions (when there’s competition)
If two or more customers place qualifying backorders for the same domain, BuyDomains uses a competitive bidding auction to determine the winner.
Daily Domain Auctions
Great domains are often unavailable at standard registration—Daily Auctions help you find names you can still buy. Features include millions of domains, options for any budget, search/browse, a suggestion generator, and bid alerts/notifications (including SMS for key events).
